footballrox
Games like this one are what high school football is all about. The kids on both sides played hard. I'm glad the Walters kid is ok he is an outstanding athlete.

squatch
I hope the Walters kid is OK. Was not a cheap shot by 27. Was surprised that Boyd was in so much better shape and more physical than Marion. Kick return and trick play all scoring for Marion with Boyd almost doubling yardage. Boyd backs trucking Marion linebackers all night. They don't want to see 5 and 21 in any Oklahoma drills anytime soon. Boyd had many penalty yards and penalties s lets get that off the excuse list. November can't get here soon enough. No excuses after that. These seniors were sophomores When you stuck that extra touchdown in to make it 28-7 two years ago. We will be your huckleberry. Soon.... warriorhalloffamer3
Watched the video for the 1st time and Dnt know what video yall watched. Not a cheap shot but it was targeted with helmet to helmet and player sld have been ejected doesn't matter the intent. When you tackle someone you are taught to use arms in the video no arms were used straight helmet to helmet. Boyd won the game and just beat us and that's football. No excuses. Good luck and we see yall again

Not so fast. I remember a season when Boyd beat MC in a tightly contested regular season game and MC had to travel to Boyd in the playoffs and ended up winning another tightly contested match. We'll see if we can't get the usual BB playoff officials for that one.

Good luck and we see yall again I had a very good look at the play, from were I was, it was definitely a helmet to helmet with Logan pretty much on the ground. I don't know if Boyd's tackler did it on purpose or not. That's not important at this point. The real question is why was he not ejected and is he going to be ejected from this week's game? If the TSSAA cares so much about these young men's health then this should be a given. I would expect this to happen to any player (including a MC player) that shows such intent or ignorance when tackling. As far as penalties go, MC has shot themselves in the foot all year and they truly deserved half of what they got Friday night. The other half were very questionable and really put the taste of home town reffing in a lot of folks mouths. I saw numerous instances of penalties that could have been called on Boyd but weren't. With saying that, I'll say this, we could have controlled half of the penalties anyway. In all my years of watching football at the high school level these refs were probably the poorest bunch I have ever seen. Stopping the game twice to reposition a ball they had placed on the wrong yard line or hash mark smells of pee wee ball. As far as the game goes our offensive line collapsed all night and our defensive line did not stop them at the line. If you lose in the trenches you lose on the scoreboard. We don't have Zeman to make up for the lack of blocking and you can't place the burden of run and pass defense on your linebackers every play. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for Logan and a quick return to the game.
