I ain't got a clue buddy. I just remember they waltzed through the regular season and went 15-0 and won state in class AAA. Beat Oakland in the finals if I'm not mistaken? GREAT team.

Who was that RB they had back then? I was a kid but remember him being awesome. That was a handful of years before my time.

Another name on that team was Kimbro he later played for UT the current coach at Dickson county played on that team

Dickson County always seems to have a good RB. Even recently w/ the Gerron kid a few years ago, Bo Brown before that, etc.

 

Haven't heard about much of a running game mentioned with this year's group, though.

What on earth does Liberty do each year that causes you guys fits?   Ya'll have absolutely smoked everyone since then.  That game has confused me the past two years.   Didn't they even have a different head coach this year?

Liberty is always a very good football team with a ton of speed and talent. They don't always give us a fit. I think the series is about even. HC posters, do you have the win...loss in this series?

It's HC 8-3 in the all time series. I would like to see these 2 teams play again. HC has a different QB and RB combo & have made some very helpful defensive changes. HC is a completely different team from week 1 and 2. I thought we were maybe a 6 win team after the 1st couple of games.

Thanks SEC1rules. I agree with you. I thought we would struggle to get 6 wins. Great adjustments by our coaching staff. I think they've found the right combination.

I would also add that Liberty started having more success when it became the first game of the season.  Year-in and year-out, a healthy Liberty team will gives anybody in West Tennessee fits.  I think that a few of their seasons have been the injury-plagued kind in the last few years. Dhs could probably correct or dismiss that statement.  Either way, they've usually been one of the best teams we face in the regular season.  It's a fun semi-rivalry that I hope continues.
