Steve is a great guy and where he has taken that program is incredible. As good as a coach he is he is even a better person and a great role model. One I would gladly let my son play for. It is a shame to be robbed on all that he has done while at Eagleville.

Amerigha... you must have something personal against this Coach. You get on here and always talk about how he lets his players play dirt and wear metal cleats. I can assure you that DIDN'T happen. Every coach at Eagleville is 1st class person and coach. There is NOT 1 coach that would allow that to happen. Do they play hard ? YES..Also know that when Eagleville and Forrest play its always a good hard well played game. I dont know why Coach Carson was let go.. but i do know he a 1st class person and coach.. And some school is going to get a good coach and better person

I've seen teams that play dirty. We put a pretty good beating on them when they came to Boyd. They played physical but I can't remember one play I thought of as dirty. Even when the game got out of hand they still played hard but respectful. That's when it would have been a problem if they were taught to be dirty. They were a respectful bunch. Players and coaches.

Are you sure? The offensive numbers were offensive and so was the defense because of his lack of discipline. My sources tell me the principal has already reached out to the former Eagleville coach.

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Coach Carson.   He wanted me to let you know specifically your sources are 100% incorrect.  Coach Mantooth did call Coach Carson only to check on him.   They've previously coached together as I'm sure your "source" knows.   He said it is ridiculous to think Coach Mantooth would do something like that.

 

Scott Smith is a very good friend of Coach Carson and he was about to call Coach Smith when he got off the phone just to make sure he knew there was no truth to these rumors your spreading.  

 

Coach Carson is an excellent Coach and even better human being.  Like I told him, he'll land on his feet and in all likelihood improve his situation.   Funny thing is he was 100% happy at Eagleville and had absolutely no idea this was going to happen.   He wasn't given any explanation and that is what is most disturbing.  I got that straight from him and know it to be true. 

 

Hopefully that puts an end to the rumor for you.

Tooth is a very good friend of Carson's...but Coach Smith is there unless he decides to leave. I think Carson left FC to go to Smyrna in 204 or 2005...the yr Sonny was a soph

"My high horse".......I only had a pony growing up son.
