Kriesky deserves credit, but he has a EXCELLENT staff, especially for a 2A school. If their success had any factor in Carson's dismissal, then that just further cements my opinion of the principal

Spoke with him tonight.  He never saw this coming.   I'm as shocked as anyone

 

The man takes a program with no history to 3 straight quarterfinals and just completed his second season of a rebuild process were half the team are Freshman and STILL made the playoffs.  I think something smells fishy here also.   Can't get rid of a guy at a small program with that kind of success.  Especially a program with no history. 

 

I didn't hear this from anyone, but makes me wonder if some parent (with pull) had a issue with Coach Carson.

He'll have a really good chance to be a head coach if he wants to. His resume` speaks for itself

Yup. 3 quarterfinal berths from 2011-2013. Made the playoffs this year with 43 of their 56 players being freshmen/sophomores. Had a freshman QB throw for 1800 yards

Totally shocked when I heard this. From what I understand he is the rare combination of quality coach and quality person. It'll be interesting to see who they hire. Prior to this I was expecting a future state run from the eagles.

This looks really bad for the principal and the school. Good coach gets fired for overachieving? There were a few teams in this region that didn't make the playoffs and had more talent than Eagleville.

Depending on why he was fired will depend on his next job. If he did something wrong (drastically wrong) he will likely take an OC job at another school, probably a bigger school. If he didn't do anything wrong and was simply dismissed, then I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a HC job, at another Rutherford County school, a much bigger school, if you're catching my drift.........

I would argue that Carson has done more with less in the last few years than anyone in the state.

I'd take him any day.
