listen i dont wish no ill will on the guy. perhaps it was the wrong time to discuss those events. hes gotta eat too. honestly he was a heck of a coach and everyone here knows it. looks like he is reading my stuff so i will say this- bad stuff happens to good people sometimes. you're better off without that school, trust me. you won a lot of games with young players, something most coaches would not have been able to do. the best thing that could happen to you is to go somewhere where you get a chance to play eagleville and stomp a mudhole in them. check their cleats before hand. (I couldnt resist)

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Coach Carson. He wanted me to let you know specifically your sources are 100% incorrect. Coach Mantooth did call Coach Carson only to check on him. They've previously coached together as I'm sure your "source" knows. He said it is ridiculous to think Coach Mantooth would do something like that.

 

Scott Smith is a very good friend of Coach Carson and he was about to call Coach Smith when he got off the phone just to make sure he knew there was no truth to these rumors your spreading.

 

Coach Carson is an excellent Coach and even better human being. Like I told him, he'll land on his feet and in all likelihood improve his situation. Funny thing is he was 100% happy at Eagleville and had absolutely no idea this was going to happen. He wasn't given any explanation and that is what is most disturbing. I got that straight from him and know it to be true.

 

Hopefully that puts an end to the rumor for you.

Coach Carson and I are friends and frequently talk off the record. He trusts me not to say something if its told to me in confidence. He actually called me. I didn't call him. If he had gotten offered a job he would of said "I was offered the job, but that's priveledged information". We've discussed lots of things "off the record" and I've never betrayed his trust.

 

Frankly, I don't care whether you believe me or not. I'm just letting you know what's going on. If he did wind up at Franklin County it would be because Coach Smith ask him to come as an assistant. As of now, that HAS NOT happened.

I wish that would happen! Coach Carson is too good and too qualified for an assistant job. He would be a nice pick up for Giles tho. Any program would be lucky to have him.

If it is Principal to Principal, with the Head of the school board involved, the Coaches would be the last to know until the end of BOTH their seasons.

 

Now that has happened, we can only hope.

What is the deal Rutherford County? First Shadowens and now Carson! I don't understand why these principals are able to behave this way. What more could he have done? He is well liked and respected by coaches and he won games consistently.

Different situations. Shad had trouble working with a new principal, where Carson had been working for current Principal since 2011

So does Shadowens bail on WB and come to Eagleville?  You got to think the principal had a good idea who he wanted to hire before he let a good coach go.
