Congrats trezevant, you had the better team. Made the plays when you had to. Congrats to Marion, this game could have gotten away from them and they fought tooth and nail to stay in it. Big big catch by trez wr to ice the game. Saylors was in perfect position but it was a great throw and catch.

Trez had the best collection of athletes I have seen below 6A. Realistically the fact that it was a game is testament to the effort of MC. They should have blown MC off the field.

Richardson is the only reason this game was close.

Just like last year Zeeman was the only reason MC even made it to the big game. When he wasnt a factor against Peabody look what happened. Every team has a outstanding player.

I want to personally thank you posters for keeping this thread updated during the game! I'm traveling to Illinois to see my dad who will begin a battle on Monday. This was the only way for me to be able to keep up with the game (using my smart phone) and I sincerely appreciate it! Congratulations to Trezvant and to Marion for putting up such a good fight! As a side note, I want y'all to know that my daughter is texting for me while I am driving.Lol! And for some reason, she's glad that the games over! LOL!

Trezevant used to be 4A. They are now 2A. Why talk about them being 4A when clearly they moved down for enrollment reason. Glad they arent a private school or we would be here all day hearing about it.

The play of the game was that third down catch on the final drive.  Outstanding catch by the WR and there was decent coverage on the play.    #5 simply had the talent to overcome stupid penalties.  He is a great player.  Marion County had great effort and I really thought they had it won when they took the lead.  Trezevent did what they had to do.  2A school with 4A talent.  Can't fault them for that.
