Does anyone know how East Nashville did on the final three days of the Beech tournament. No scores have been posted anywhere that I can find

Well Upperman wins the first meeting by 12 tonight. Both stars had a touch of foul trouble Levy finished with 4 fouls as well as did Lynn. They didn't defend each other and in my opinion MC had more trouble defending Levy then UHS did defending Lynn. UHS missed several easy buckets could have been a larger deficit. Lynn is a quality player and I look forward to the game at MC. MTSU coach was in the house tonight.

I agree! The under noticed player in that game was Lexie Strickland. No points, lots of rebounds and UHS continued to score when she took over the point with Levy in foul trouble.

If MC can't press a team and turn them over they become a lot less formidable, and good luck pressing Upperman with Levy on the floor LOL

Dyersburg some say a top 10 team, Gibson Co state semifinalist, Haywood state quarterfinalist, Mastery said to be Pennsylvania state semifinalist, Rhea Co 8-2, weak?

 

South Side has some nice wins over Haywood and Gibson County.  They are a solid team that could make a nice run.  District has to be the weakest in the last several years and SS should run the table with big margins of victory the rest of the way.  That may come back to haunt them when they get in some real tight games in the Region tourney.  Time will tell.....

Besides Westview, who from 13AA will be able to play with them? And IMO if they find a way to neutralize Graves they will beat them

Good point!  IMO, AA ball in West TN is not as deep as Single A.  I would rather play Westview any day than have to tangle with Dresden or Greenfield if I were SS.  SS is very physical.  Get in foul trouble and even a much inferior team could play them tight.

Dyersburg is the only other team I think that can play with South Side (depends on if they are motivated that day) but other than those two, they are 20 points better than South Gibson, Crockett County and Obion County.

Good point!  IMO, AA ball in West TN is not as deep as Single A.  I would rather play Westview any day than have to tangle with Dresden or Greenfield if I were SS.  SS is very physical.  Get in foul trouble and even a much inferior team could play them tight.

GC has played all 4 and I still say WV is the toughest team out of that group of 3 you mentioned (between Dresden & Greenfield). 4 or 5 trips to the Boro....that doesn't happen that often. WV plays about 10-11 girls and they got shooters. 

 

I spoke with some Dresden folks, who are unbiased, and they said WV had a bad night and that Dresden shot the lights out of it. Dresden is for real too and I believe will win their district. 

 

SS is the scariest team from our area (AA) and the best of all 4, but WV is tough (IMO). They seem to find a way to win, especially after Christmas over the last few years.

 

1A is wide-open...it could be 1 of 6 or 7 teams right now. 

 

District tourneys are around the corner.....who knows?

 

I look forward to meeting Greenfield a few more times...we weren't expecting that type of offense that night and we should be better next time.
