ETX,Pujo,and Muskox, Do you guys mind if I go watch Greenback play London Friday night? And leave Roberts' daddy out of this. He has said nothing biased about his kid on here.If y'all don't mind, I'll get my old V jacket out of mothballs and come to Loudoun.Just let me know.Go WHOLE Greenback team!!!

Please leave the Blue V at home!LOL.

As far as I'm concerned, you can go and take you a couple of Pom Poms. Put you a big K on one and a R on the other. You need to talk to Madvegas and see if she will pitch in. ENJOY

I dunno if I can book a flight to London this late in the week but ill see what I can do...Please dig the V jacket out and go to Sequoyah and watch them play this season...they might accept u into the reservation down there...but don't get your hopes up

Roberts is a great back for class A ball. But there have been a lot of great backs come through GHS he is definitely in the top 10 though. Joe Hall back in the 60's he had the school rushing record until Brian Hanley broke it. Before Hanley it was Queener and Arnold Plemons , no one faster than J.D. Mcdaniel then you had Michael Lemons then the Willis Brothers James and Dwight. Kayne reminds me a lot of james as far as speed and size, James ran tougher though. Cody Long, Greg Way, Seymore, Anderson. Missed a few im sure but a bunch of good backs. Roberts has the size and combined with his speed he will turn some D-1 heads I am sure, but U.T.? Can anyone name the last white RB U.T. had on the field .............. didn't think so.

Great memories in this post.Arnold was a beast,Hanley the best I ever played with or have seen his toughness was his greatest asset along with his speed at 160 pounds he would run straight over you!Lemons was like a brother to me we had a lot of fun on and off the field another very tough runner.The Willis boys never saw them play but have heard how good James was and could have been one of the best ever.My sons played with Seymour and Anderson both excellent backs but Anderson was cut from the same cloth as Hanley,Lemons and the Willis he was a tough one,199 yards on 33 carries against a tough Oneida team in 13 with a badly sprained ankle and NEVER quit.Great backs for one small school.Good post.

yep u missed john crye...and I know trae helton played a lot of receiver but he also ran the ball a lot as well..probably one of the best pure athletes to ever put on a Cherokee uniform

A lot of good football players has came through GHS. And I am thrilled to have Silvey and Roberts along with all the other talent that we have. Looking forward to Friday.

To set the record straight, Roberts is a very good single A player. Nothing more, nothing less. He ran from triple a competition, so that tells you something right there. Same with the Silvey kid. A tremendous single a lineman and a very good four a lineman, but lets not kid ourselves. These two will play for an instate lower level school. Nothing wrong with that, just the facts. I do hate it when the parents and grandparents get on here and hype their kids on here like Roberts has done.

      The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??

      If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!

      Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
