I honestly believe Spurrier was the only one. You can look at all past Heisman winners and none of them were from this state or even near. We need to pass this along to CB and let him find out what they said.

Yeah I may be off on memory; but could of sworn they mentioned Grange because I thought HUH?? Would be interested in knowing.

"The Golden Boy" Paul Hornung did play on Blankenship field for Louisville Flaget.  I believe it was 1951.  Oak Ridge made two trips to Louisville to play Flaget around that same time period.  Then, Johnny Majors got screwed out of the Heisman by The Golden Boy in '56, whose Notre Dame team was 4-6.

Funniest thing about this whole story is that on the broadcast it was Russell Bivens that did say Red Grange, but he got his incorrect information from Mike Mullins, the OR athletic director.  Ha Ha

Hart was a special player  3A Dyersburg looks to return a few key pieces. Strahan will be a force  4A Bradley will be as usual, making it tough on whoever they face.
    • I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.
    • If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.
    • Dorian Eskridge was HVA's best back, 2011
    • Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro
