Right now, the long range forecast is calling for an 80 percent chance of rain.  I hope the rain stays away, but even if it comes, Friday's game is a must win game for both teams.  While it's really too early to say, I honestly believe the winner of this game makes the show at the end of the year.  This game should have a great atmosphere to it.  I remember calling a game there from the press box and the home fans cheered so hard, the press box swayed.  I would not be surprised at all if the entire City of Halls showed out on Friday.

I was surprised at the fairly low turnout that Halls had. I'm not saying that there side was empty, and I realize some of they're Fans who get there early sit on the visitor side to beat the sun and heat. I'm just saying with the talent and potential they have, I was expecting more of a turnout from they're Fan base.

If Halls can stop the turnovers then I think the Tigers have a good chance. Atleast 10 turnovers last 2 games witch has lost caused us both games. Earle Ar had several college potential athletes on the field. Including a 6'3 220 that ran down are #21 from behind a couple of times. We have got to stop killing our selves. Eventually we will clean up the turnovers and be a pretty good football team.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
