How long has Poppys diner been there. My wife's first teaching job was at the elementary school there in halls and we ate at Pin 'N Out a few times. But I don't remember Poppys. This was about 9 years ago.

Less than a yr.... it's in the old DJ 's building. They have fish on Fridays along with several other diner type options.

BigEd, things are pretty bad when the conversation is about food and diners and one man butt kicking contests!

true very true. People forget we were in the same situation last year. Will history repeat itself or will Halls take a big step forward to the playoffs. I will hold off until tomorrow for predictions. Want to see if we have any two legged men running around practice today. But hey the food does sound good.

Friday!!!!!!!! Ready to see if our young boys have grown up this week. I expect it to be a close game. I have said before the start of the season that Halls is dangerous. They have some very good athletes. I feel in my gut TCA will show up and play hard and pull out a close one. One of our one legged guys will show up with two legs and kick a field goal to win. 24-21 TCA

First game all season we had our entire OL in a game. They blew Halls off the ball all night. Horton had around 350 yds rushing and we had over 500 total rushing yards. Freshman QB had an awesome first game with a nice TD pass. Lost our best Defensive player halfway through 3rd Q with really bad cramps and it hurt us badly. Moore is a difference maker and we need him healthy.

Johnson is the fastest player I have ever seen in HS football. When he touches it you just hold your breath. He has amazing hands as well. Wish him well at MTSU and congrats to Halls for never giving up. I absolutely love going to games at Halls. The community support is wonderful and the football field in the middle of the neighborhood is great. Halls were great host tonight.

Congrats to the young Lions. I would not count them out yet. We now have a leg and a half so the butt kicking contest has now gone from one leg to one and a half legs!

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
