Alcoa dropped the series with Catholic. Catholic wanted to keep playing.

Exactly ---- just like he did with Fulton in 2013 and 2014 .. he knew Fulton was having  their best teams in those years .. from the experience he had watching the Fulton  frosh play in 2011 with Alcoa when the Falcons were very strong ..so he knew what Fulton had coming in those years and stopped playing .. just he can see where Catholic is these past 2 years ...  Rankin good coach ..one of the best in Tennessee history .. but he is also smart ... he is probably been trying to figure a way out of the Maryville game but the county wont have it

2012 Alcoa rack up its 14th win against Fulton. 30-6. the overall record 14-1

2013 Alcoa adds Catholic to schedule. Alcoa beats Catholic by 40+ points Fulton struggles with Catholic but pull out a 4th qtrs win. Clearly Alcoa is a much better team.

2014 Catholic beats Fulton and wins 4A state championship. .....But losses home game against Alcoa.

2015 Fulton gets hammered by Maryville. Alcoa take Maryville to the wire in a 14-20 loss.

Keep believing your own garbage and be glad the All time record is NOT 17-1.

Alcoa has played recent series with Fulton, Catholic and Webb. Again 14-1 against the black buzzards....Never lost to the others. Yea.....they run from Competition Tommy Boy!

Smoking too much bbq again. Boy you are lost in time. I think you smoke more than bbq all the time. Can't figure out what happened from year to year.

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
