It's been a great Fall for football. Both teams seem to want to prove something, and both have alot to play for. Murvil shooting for the top seed and wb trying to avoiD oakland in round 1. Many of the seniors off both teams have had a pretty competitive rivalry over the past decade. It's been a real pleasure watching those kids grow up.

 

RW87 doing live remotes. G91 needing a shot of strong koolade. Defections, injuries, moveouts. Injuries and recoveries. Kids playing without a drivers license. The old ball coach, shad, and THE KID. Pain pills, hunger, and more pain pills.

 

MURVIL IS THE WINNING TEAM! LA IS THE LOSING TEAM! MTN REBEL IS BRINGING THE REFEREES! 49-14 IS THE SCOREBOARD!

 

I hope it is an injury free game.

Few random thoughts.

 

WB is not a good football team, plain and simple.

 

That said, 27 for the govs is an athlete.

 

Glad to see some of the reserve for the rebels have some success tonight. Always good to see those boys find the endzone.

 

The rebels receivers block on the edge better than some college teams.

 

The WB student section needs some work (and needs to clean up after themselves).

 

RW took the break seriously and didn't even have TD cookies.

 

I still think it should be a 15 yarder every time a band plays when the opposing team is on offense.

I cant disagree with you, but they are only a bad team because they dont play with effort. If the team that went up to Kingsport showed up every game this season would be looking very different right now. The Govs did not play with heart or give a 100% effort tonight, period. I thought last week was funny until I read this. William Blount is worse than last year. Shad might have some stronger kids in the weight room but weight lifting is not football. I feel sorry for their players.

I made a chocolate cake for the senior dinner last night and two pies for the Coaches pregame meal. I didn't want to look at cookies today lol. Besides we would have been in a diabetic coma if we ate cookies every time we scored tonight!
