2001Bobcat
If Alcoa, CAK, and CPA are out of 3A, who do you see as the next 3A State Champion? Giles County should be in the mix moving down from 4A. We have a lot of guys coming back and a D1 College QB prospect.
Trojan
If Alcoa, CAK, and CPA are out of 3A, who do you see as the next 3A State Champion? Milan and Trezevant on this end of state. I sure hate that we missed 3A by a hair. Would love to battle these two teams. We have had some good ones against both the last several years. wolfchase
Why would they do this? When I initially(briefly) looked over the 3A teams, I immediately thought Alcoa was & would be the favorite, year in year out. They would definitely be the team to beat. 3A would definitely be the least competition. However,on a challenging note, 4A will be more of an accomplishment, if that's their thinking. They seemed like a lock in 3A, 4A not so much.

lawnman
Alcoa just blows right through road blocks unless it's Maryville...😳
cofo
It was a joke. They aren't going 4A. We all got fooled. I do know Coach Rankin called Milan's Coach Morris recently suggesting a regular season game between the 2 for next year.... somewhere in Nashville.... ftblLVR557360
Who do you think would be that roadblock in 4A that would stand in Alcoa's way. I would have to say that Greeneville would be a hurdle.
32hammer
I wonder where wm blount and heritage would hide if AHS moved to 6A? I also saw where they were dropping Alcoa next year but I wonder what would have happened if they either had beaten them this year or at least were competitive? I am guessing they would still want to play. The message they are sending to their players, fans and students by refusing to play is pretty sad. Boom! Post of the Day.The message they are sending is pretty clear. Really sad. Feel bad for the kids.
