From what I heard (I wasnt there, so I dont know if it is true) most of the players that went AWOL were juniors and seniors. If that is true, it lines up with what I said earlier about the older kids having bad attitudes because they have been losing 3 and 4 years. The young kids on this team played their butts off for the most part and it will only get better with more winners coming from the middle school every year. If Shad hangs in there the culture will change. It took Hammontree 3 or 4 years to see any real progress at Heritage in wins and losses.

No, we had a number of young guys starting all year, mostly on defense. And most of the key players like Myrick, King, and Hannah were there.

Dont think that is the reason. From what I saw at practices I went to, the team as a whole liked and responded to him well. You just cant reach some kids. That is just a fact. Edited November 5, 2016 by Governors91
