Who takes on the Franklin County job now?

last i heard that there were 38 resumes sent in but no big names on list, all assistants trying to move up~ i really thought to remove Smith after only 2 seasons that they had someone in place already? very very quiet right now around the program!

I have heard several assistants names as well, but like you said no one is confirming anything to me. It is very quiet in Rebel Nation.

Today is supposed to be the last day for applications, any word on when interviews start, and who the front runners are. I have never seen this much secrecy in Franklin County.

Are we going to hire a coach before Christmas?  This job was one of the first ones open this year and it looks like it may be one of the last ones filled.  None of my "sources" even know if they have started interviews yet?

MM would be a great hire for the job.  He is a heck of a coach and a winner.  Players i have talked to love to play for him. He is tough and has a great offensive mind.  People will knock his off the field problems but everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second and sometimes a third chance.

IF MM was interviewed then FC needs to look no further in my opinion. He is the home town guy some folks have been asking for and has built a winning program in every high school he has coached . hope they make that hire!!!

FC has also had a very talented semi-youthful defensive minded coach with an interesting track record sit down across the table for the job. No head coachin experience; but been under some great tutalige at the hs and college level. He aint draggin no suit cases behind him either.
