I agree, SP is in a league of their own when it comes to the east. They are the last team to win from the east or maybe it was Gordonsville.

It was Gordonsville.  We lost to them at their place going for the win on a 2 pt try at the end of the game.

Ok I have all the respect in the world for South Pitt but how can you even say that when SP hasn't even represented the East since the Union City game?

The were in the semifinals this past year against Greenback.  Rest assured Coal Truck didn't have the speed this past year and haven't anytime they have gone up against the Pirates.

They both lost to Greenback 42-27. Then their second matchup CF got within a TD. And they return a lot more than SP. I'll take Coalfield and I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong.. Ambassador needs to talk some sense into you guys.

I agree, we gave Greenback all they wanted in the playoffs and the regular season game for that matter and those games where at Greenback, heck South Pitt played them at home. All they talk about is the Coalfield teams they beat in the past that were hardly average in most years. Those teams in the past weren't suppose to beat SP, so what's the big deal. Livin in the past these Pirates are!

Coalfield should represent the east in 2017, but 2018-2020 could be a different story.

    • I just saw on 5 Star Preps that Chaston Smith is transferring to Chattanooga McCallie. McCallie and Baylor are loading up. Baylor got UT commit Joakim Dodson and Former Alcoa player Kolby Barrett. They also got a bunch of other transfers.

    • The lamentable departure of the esteemed coach, orchestrated by certain board members whose intellectual acumen leaves much to be desired, is a matter of grave concern. It is worth noting that these individuals, paradoxically invested in overseeing the educational welfare of others while opting for homeschooling for their own progeny, have effectively precipitated this regrettable outcome. One can only surmise that the repercussions of their actions will reverberate for an extended period, casting a pall over their respective tenures. Such consequences are indeed a cross they shall bear.
    • In my humble assertion, I find it imperative to clarify that my personage was not among those counted. Regrettably, the departure of Coach Blake Satterfield did not augur well for the program's trajectory. It is with a tempered sense of admiration that I regard the individual of fortitude who dares to embrace this challenging mantle, for they shall undoubtedly encounter formidable obstacles in their quest to satisfy the less discerning denizens of Hartsville. May the fates smile upon Blake Satterfield in his forthcoming endeavors.
