Zone Read, you first called A plus a power house now a program in need. Oh my goodness. If you do not know about the felon , then you sir need to check out the school you so bravely defend. I challenge you top ask around. Hint, he is one of the middle school basketball coaches and used to run the UNA football program. Now go fetch . Go boy go boy!! Stiil defending Village idiot. 

I never called them a powerhouse haha come on now. And if we are talking about the same guy he has not been a boys basketball coach since the incident. Also, how does running a youth football league matter here? You really thought the guy had anything to do with "getting players" hahaha

Most years there are 2-5 public schools that could play with or beat the best of D2. Average and bad D2-aa schools mercy rule above average 5A 6A schools on the regular. D2-AA is deepest most talented classification in the state hands down. That being said here is my top 10

 

1.Whitehaven

2.BA

3. MBA

4.Oakland

5.Ensworth

6. Mccallie

7.Maryville

8.Baylor

9.Cordova

10. Aloca

pretty accurate list although I would flip flop the first 2 and Farragut has to be in somewhere. Other than that good list!

Trinity isn't Whitehaven

That is correct. Trinity is a top national team every year. Whitehaven pops up ever once in a while as a Tenn power and then disappears for a few years.

 

Once again. Me being unbiased. Is Whitehaven good? Absolutely. Could they beat BA. Yes. Do I think they would having seen them both play and seeing mutual opponents between the two divisions? No.

 

I think BA would take a lead and Whithaven would fall apart having no experienced trailing or a team as explosive as BA.

 

That is what I believe as an unbiased high school football fan. Is Whitehaven a top team In the state this year? Absolutely. I just think BA is a little better.

I'm not that high on Farragut I think the top 7-8 teams on list would beat them by 21 plus. Also think Indy beats them 8 out of 10 times it was just there year

As a Webb fan I'm not high on Farragut either. Webb blew them out in front of Knoxville in the jamboree 21-7. The 7 scored against Webb's 2s. Does that mean a lot? Not really.

 

But then Webb beat Oak Ridge and Oak Ridge beat Farragut. I think Webb could have played with Farragut if not beat them based on these results. I have Webb as a top 25 team but no where close to top 10. I'd put farragut in the mid to high teens.

BA can score on anyone and whitehaven has not saw a team as good on offense since the 2014 ravenwood game and this years BA team is better than that team. Whitehaven's defense would not be able to defend all the rpo's BA does and the tempo BA plays with. However, BA would only be able to score around 24-28 imo bc whitehaven is very physical. BA defense is also very good and has been battle tested all season much more than whitehaven's. Oakland has a better defense that whitehaven just got burned 2 times and it cost them the game

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
