Pleco here.  Booger I just looked at your schedule and outside of you losing to Baylor, the 4 games you have won have been against teams with an overall record of 4-19 and you're crowing? Ya nice.  ND may be good, but you ain't there yet cuz you ain't played nobody, but yer bout too.

and dont forget that team, Baylor, the Irish lost to is 3 -3 ....so that makes the OR 7-22

D2AA has better top four teams than 1A 2A 3A and 4A. So I guess none of those divisions are legit either.

Booger wernt respondin to the fact that We had the better 4 teams than those leagues.......cause we may very cause of size.....not sure......but Booger does think the top 4 competition is as good or better......tho your other team Webb proved they could play close to Luzanne last year and Luzanne was beast...no way Luzanne is that good again

Kind of off topic, but I was looking at the DII-AA brackets earlier this week and saw something that's not really fair IMO.

Every year, it's possible for the Middle #1 and Middle #2 to play for the state championship because one is always in the top of the bracket and the other is always in the bottom of the bracket.

The same is NEVER true for the East & the West.

So, assuming that Webb & ND are the best 2 AA teams in the state, they will never meet in the finals.

Johnny thinks 9 gold balls is too many gold balls. They combine some of them 3A 4A schools and that would be more legit. Johnny knows 6A & D2 AAA got legit teams too... Big boy football. Noticed Webb dont play many publics anymore?

thinkin u r correct sir......and You woulda thought that since the Webb School has a head football coach on the T$$AA BOC he woulda pulled that off for the east.......guessin Roller had more pull or they were another inside deal cut that night down at the Pink Pony Pub .....maybe they cut a deal to ratate it

Wow we actually agree boog. Yea we havnt lost to a Knoxville public school outside of oak ridge (before beating them the next year) in a long long time. No one will play us. We have had a 9 game schedule that last three years and that's with going out of state and scheduling Ensworth and McCallie. It sucks but it is what it is.

Booger sure there r Knoxville schools that will play Haslam School of Knoxville that Haslam want play......just cant think of any off top of head.....they dont get much stouter than Aluminum City or bigger than Maryville.....guess it all depends on how competitive Webb Coach sees himself on each schedulin

As a former player I can promise you there isn't. That's why we had to start playing Alcoa and Maryville. And now the big privates. We wanted Alcoa again this year but they scheduled Grace instead. Oak Ridge dropped us after losing last year. We've played and beat Powell, West, Bearden, Anderson County, Austin-East, etc. Farragut won't play us for anything. It's tough to get a good schedule unfortunately.

What does ND have to do to win Friday?

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
