Braelyn Wykle is getting back in the groove after her injury. I saw her against Morristown West and she shot very well. They should have beaten Morristown West, but West is a tough team who never quit

South Greene is my pick in AA. I have not seen Upperman, but have been told they are the favorite. South Greene is one of the best overall teams in the Upper East TN area. (all classifications)

South Greene put on a show tonight from behind the arc in the District 2 AA Championship game. 7/8 from 3 in just the opening quarter. Ended up with at least 10 3's and the bench played most of the 4t

Macon won the sectional game at McMinn last year.  I don't know how McMinn is this year, but Macon is better than they were a year ago imo.

Upperman and Macon Co. probably are better teams overall, but being the best team playing that particular night is what counts.  For comparison, both Macon Co. and McMinn Central beat Cumberland Co. by about 10 points.

McMinn Central isn't as good of a talented team they were a year ago, but they're playing better team ball this year and they've improved a lot as the season went along. They start 1 Senior and 4 Juniors.
I was really impressed with Macon Co. last year. They had one player that was great against Central that night.

I agree. Both team have played at McMinn Central so it will not be a shock to have to go there and play. Macon went to McMinn last season and beat them and I think McMinn was a better team last year. Macon is a better team this season. I think UHS was a better team last season but still better than McMinn central but hey that is why they play the game.

Team chemistry is important, especially this time of the year.  If you're talking about #24, I think she was just a Freshman last year.  They'll be a tough out as long as she's playing.

The winner of the Meigs and McMinn Central game will have a chance Saturday. But the loser will have a hard road. Meigs is also very young. They play 3 seniors 3 sophomores and 4 freshmen. They have played a lot of quarters with all sophomores and freshmen on the floor. So you never know with young players. In the first game vs McMinn Central. Meigs lead the game from start to finish. By around 10 or more the whole game. Central got close at the end but Meigs held on to win. In the second game Meigs lead by 14 at the half. Central took the lead in the 4th and held on to win. In the third game Central just out played and out coached Meigs. Looking forward to Wednesday night.

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.

      Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?

      Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
