Lawson leaving just swung open the door for Whitehaven to have a shot at the gold ball. Any other contenders in AAA??? Cordova will be solid, once the returners around Bruce settle into roles.

Knox Bearden only lost one senior from last year. They have 7 juniors, six are ranked in the TN top 100 and lost to ME in the 4th quarter of the states (were ahead 2 qtrs and tied at the end of the third). Would give them a shot for a gold ball this year.

called it years ago that Murrell would be special. If he's ever put into the role that he has to score and get the killer mentality to his game, he will end up a top 50 guy. He's so efficient right now, of course he makes the highflying acrobatic plays but his none dunk plays are typically very smart baskets and never rushed. Right now he's the kinda guy that can score 20 off of 9 shots and a few trips to the line. He even did the same on the circuit this year when switching over to team thad in late july. He was typically the 4/5th option but would still find himself at the top of the box score taking half as many shots as the key guys (kyky tandy, dj jeffries). If phillips ever demands 20 attempts a night from him, it will be scary. Like a baby malik monk type of scary.

I did an event at Whitehaven this past September and I saw a guy walking tha halls that has to be 7' tall or very close to it. I know somebody knows who this young man is. So, who is he? I thought I read somewhere where Whitehaven might have a 7-footer on the way. Any clues?

I believe his name is Jordan Wilmore.

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
