I believe the guy that texted me so we'll see if they start within 10 days and finish before the first home game. Good to hear. I truly hope y'all get it! BarneySox2007
Turf must be on it's way because I just seen their old riding lawn mower for sale on Craigslist.

Some schools are ready for an upgrade turf field and OR is still mowing the field Welcome LINEDAD to CoachT. Are you the father of an OR linemen? If yes, then feel free to give us an news on how the line is doing. The OL/DL are such an important part of the team it is always nice to know how they are doing. You may not want to speak about the players by name, just general info.
WilleTheWildcat
A group called the Blankenship Field Alumni Challenge had a Facebook post shared on the Oak Ridge Booster Club Facebook page with the same information Bounder shared with us. It did go on to say that the next phase was the Jumbo Tron for the 2019 season. Anyone know who the Blankenship Field Alumni Challenge group is? Whoever they are, THANK YOU!. WilleTheWildcat
In case we forgot to put this on CoachT, Jackie Pope was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame on June 16. He led the Wildcats to three team state track championships. Won several individual track events. Was class president for four years. Honor society. In football he led Oak Ridge to the 1958 State and National Championships. In 1958, he rushed for an incredible 17 yards per carry. Mr. Pope was also the top rusher in the High School All American game played in Baton Rouge, LA.. After high school he was recruited to Tennessee by Johnny Majors and lettered in football as a freshmen and sophomore. He then finished his college career aa a Blue Raider at Middle Tennessee State University. He played multi sports at MTSU and his induction into the Hall of fame is mainly based on his outstanding career in Murfreesboro This information was reported in an oakridger.com article if you want to read all the achievements of this Wildcat, Vol and Blue Raider. My personal favorite achievement is Jackie Pope's 17 yards per carry in the 1958 National Championship season.
