Closest 2OT blowout I've seen... We should've kicked the FG ... I just cant believe someone on that sideline didn't know it was 4th down...On that first long drive we had and didn't score we had the guy slip and fall on 3rd making it a long 4 & 7, next play we get 6 yards...Then that 25 play drive we had two guys run into each other...Had a hole big enough to drive a truck through...Why Tyner didn't go for two is beyond me...

Tyner was at their best when #8 the QB was just improvising and making plays.  One of the throws he made at the end of regulation looked like the throw that McNair made in the Super Bowl against the Rams.  I was screaming "Go for two" when they scored in OT1 to make it a 21-20 game.  I would have at least called a timeout and taken a team vote:

 

"go for the win or tie the game?"

Didn't understand all those trickeration plays ... They did better when they ran conventional plays and did what you said, roll the QB out and let him improvise ...

Congratulations to the Union City Golden Tornado and their 1st 2A state championship. They are not very exciting to watch but what they do is run the ball and beat you up front and they do it to perfection. Those kids were written off after Mayfield and especially after Adamsville. But I have been around several of these kids and coached a few of them( in recreation baseball ) their mentality is never top till horn sounds. Great job young men and Coaching Staff..
