If Tyner doesn't implode with penalties and TOs they can win this game.  They have huge lineman that make it hard to run inside and speed on the edges. The QB is effective running and throwing with plenty of athletes to get the ball too.   They just have to stay close going into the 4th and nobody can score faster than them.  If they play like they did against MC they should win.

Good luck to both area teams. Mayfield and UC go get the gold!!! Both teams are powerhouses in the area. I'll be the first to admit after UC played Mayfield I didn't give them much of a chance to be where they are. Never fails UC coaching staff has them playing their best football at the end of the season. Booger don't let Swo eat all the marshmallows.

I agree with some of these things you mention. The difference I see is this.  If Union City is in a close game in the fourth quarter they usually seal the deal. If they don't turn it over you won't get more than 6 chances on offense.  It's just hard to stop them for 3 yards over and over. You're right about the athletes though. Since Union City started their run in 2009 against SP this Tyner team is by far the most athletic team they have seen in a title game.

I'm feeling a game similar to the 2009 game vs South Pittsburg today. Tyner can score Quick, but can Tyner get Union City off the field? I'm heading over to Cracker Barrell here in Cookeville boys. Let's talk more at the game. BTW you boys should have seen Roy dancing last night in this lounge at the Clarion Inn and suites. It was quite the show.

I think that’s the difference between a good program and a playoff winning, state championship winning program. When coaches have the players working their butts off but after practice you still see player so working out oftheir own free will, you KNOW those kids want it and will do whatever it takes to get it.

I’m not gonna be able to watch, I’ll just be listening via the radio stream, but I hope for an injury free game & another gold ball for UC & Coach Bowling! They’ve earned it.
