Bryce Wallace Transfers from Marshall to Giles

The rule is clear on transfers and recruiting. The problem is t$$aa is a joke when it comes to enforcing their own rules.

What about the rule where a player is ineligible if that player had a previous relationship with a coach? The prior contact ought to make this player ineligible lock, stock, and barrel.... unless their is a provision for that coach being a family member.

  If a student with an athletic record transfers to a new school where an “athletic coaching link” existed in the past 12 months, that student is ineligible for 12 months past their first date of enrollment at the new school at all levels in the specific sports where a linkage was present.  Links may include (1) attendance at an individual camp (and then transferring); (2) playing on non-school (independent) teams (and then transferring to that coach’s school); (3) transferring into a school where a former coach has been hired; and (4) transferring to a school where a former or current personal trainer or strength and conditioning coach is employed.

Bo left MC and joined the staff at East Mississippi Community College in January 2017 he was hired recently at Giles county as the offensive coordinator. That would put him over the 12 months he has coached his brother. That would make Bryce eligible to play at Giles according to t$$aa rules.

It could be a recruiting violation according to influencing a player. Per T$$AA "Coaches or their representatives sending questionnaires, cards or letters, contacting, or visiting prospective student-athletes and/or their families at their homes.  For purposes of the example, the terms 'coach' assumes that the individual initiating the contact is acting in his or her capacity as a coach.  If that person serves another role at the school and is not acting in his or her capacity as coach, then there may be no violation, unless the contact is really a method for what is in face the use of influence for athletic purposes."  It would be difficult to prove or disprove this rule.

If they do let him play i cant wait until week 3. I think that offense should be better then it was last year the the threat of the QB run.

The kid that transferred to Giles from Buckhorn Cole Stiles did he leave Giles or still there? Just curious where he went if he left?

Bachus graduated if that's who you are referring to.   Last year's starting Qb at Giles?

No Bachus came from Athens. They have a Kid listed on their roster Cole Stiles that played at Buckhorn. It could be an old roster but unapproved website has him on the roster this year. His Highlights are from last year when he was at Buckhorn.
