ACCORDING to the polls but let's be real.... It's not a big secrete what we bring to the table. You have more athletes and most likely outsize our boy's. No one expects Westy to win this one, and being honest as an Alumni and fan we shouldn't, but  I'm not counting our boy's out of any game.

Your playing a TC team without one starting OL who also starts on DL, and a team without their best player who was a first team all state player at qb. So yes, you should be the favorites. TC has some good athletes but you know as I know in 2A football without one or two guys that are difference makers, you can struggle. Westy has a good team from what I hear and are not ranked just to be ranked.

East Robertson will be ranked when they play TC in 2 weeks. It could be the 4th team TC has played out of 7 games that’s been ranked. Tough road. Whitwell game is when qb comes back but honestly means nothing for the season.

Guarantee you this is not happening, Waggoner is a 1 at a time guy, we have had coaches in the past that we would spend Monday on the team we were playing that week and then the team the next week on Tuesday and Wednesday lol but Waggoner is old school 1 at a time, I'm glad to have Coach Waggoner as our coach I believe he is one of the best coaches we have ever had on the molding young men part, it's not just football to him, he truly cares about our boys and wants the best for them, which is what's best for them

I agree with you it was a huge rivalry game even in junior high football it was a huge rivalry and one of the biggest games in the season

3 things have changed this match-up from what it used to be to what it is now.

-13 year layover between match-ups 

                       Time heals wounds and things are forgotten. The kids on the rosters today dont remember the hard-fought, games of years ago. Heck they probably think Westmoreland's stadium has always been set up the way it is now.  

-Coaching Changes at both schools 

-TC dominance of match-up in recent years

      From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated

      Plenty of time. The former coach was busy with family and disappeared all summer anyway. Obvious choice has the same family issues. First game is in March 2025.
