ChineseFlu
I picked the Dragons to win this region and I'm sticking with them here. I believe they are more physical than Upperman and from what I've seen speed is about equal.

I just didn’t see them playing the new coaches style of ball as well as they have. I will stick by my pick of the Dragons they have more experience in the system they run but I look for this to be a good game. GO DRAGONS!!!!! UpperCumberlandMan
If its high scoring, I think UH wins. If its very low scoring, York prevails. I will stick with UHS in a close one.
HC116
I made an account just to comment on this game. This is, without a doubt, the biggest game in this region this season. I have watched both York and Upperman play this season (full disclosure I have seen Upperman two more times) and I don't think York has the weapons to slow down the UHS offense, or score enough to keep up. York will have to shut down Blake Metzgar, which is no small feat as he is firmly in the Mr. Football conversation. Even if they do that, Donoven McCallister at QB can run and really sling the ball, especially to their speedy WR Cole Bush. Meanwhile, the three-headed monster at RB for York will take a huge effort to stop, but the Bees defense has been dominant. Shutting out Livingston was impressive, as was only allowing 7 to 6A Cookeville, even though they are down. Last week's game against Oneida is not a good sign for the Dragons. OHS is a good 2A team, but York trailed them 10-7 at halftime and UHS is miles ahead of Oneida. Without a doubt, York could win, but the stadium will be at capacity and the Bees are rolling. I'll pick the Bees by 21, but it wouldn't surprise me if this one gets out of hand.

Oneida is sandwiched between Smith County and Upperman on York's schedule. It is a trap game for York and it meant everything to Oneida. You say the score was 10-7 at the half in favor of Oneida. What did the score end up and how many yards did Oneida have in the second half. You got to remember York has only given up 22 points defensively all year. Your saying Upperman is going to double that? I have a hard time believing that will happen. They may win, but they are not going to roll York. You certainly could be right, but IF York has a slow start like they did last week, it'll be over before they know it. Upperman could have had a trap game last week and they rolled 63-0, that says something about their squad. Also, don't forget Upperman has only given up 19 points and they've played Smith County, Cookeville, and Livingston. York hasn't faced an offense with anywhere near the firepower of UHS. UTRok
Both teams had a similar score against Smith County. YI 38-12 UHS 36-12 and both played Cumberland County both blew them out. Up to this point UHS has played a stronger schedule and football people always say a stronger schedule makes you a better team. YI is a talented team but I think UHS is just a tad stronger and have their own 3 headed monster in McCallister, Bush and Metzgar. This should be a good game and the stadium will be packed. Looking forward to this one. I think the team that makes mistakes looses this one and if to many mistakes could lose big.
tnhoosier
Other than Cookeville, Upperman schedule to this point has been arguably weaker than York's. I mean they beat DeKalb, Cannon, Cumberland & Smith who are honestly not very good. Livingston to this point anyway has been mediocre at best (3-3 with wins over White Co, Cumberland Co and beat Smith Co by 10). I'd venture to say Oneida & Coalfield would beat every team on the Bee's schedule so far fairly easily except CHS & LA. And wouldn't shock me at all if LA went to Oneida and lost. Neither team has played a very tough schedule to this point imo anyway. Edited September 26, 2018 by tnhoosier

While the rest of your post may be entirely spot on to say the YAI game "meant everything" to oneida is a gross over statement. Sure we wanna win em all but it wasn't like we were playing a true rivalry game. To say we were playing above our level because we were so pumped up to play the dragons is not entirely accurate. This was not our super bowl lol. Y'all have a good solid team and if you can successfully sustain drives and eat clock that'll play in your favor. If UHS can force a lot of 3 and out or short drive scenarios then I have a feeling they'll out gun YAI.
