CPA dominates Hillsboro

In a game where CPA couldn’t be stopped through the air and Hillsboro looked overwhelmed minus their 1st drive on offense CPA executed well and got revenge on the Burros 43-18

I figured CPA would beat Pearl Cohn and BGA. But was unsure about them beating Hillsboro coming off a big win against Glencliff.

Yep, Hillsboro had me worried the most so far this year. I watched the Stratford / Hillsboro game this week and thought it was going be a tough night with their defense.

But the CPA staff had a great offensive game plan and showed new formations (empty backfield, etc.) that had the defense confused and gassed in the first half.  Then they took the air out of the ball in the second half.  Our QB can spin it with the best in the state, we just normally play a balanced game so his numbers aren’t as flashy as others.  Only 1 interception this year and it was punt like play near the end of a half.  Only 3 interceptions going into the semifinals last year but Booger intercepted 2 in that game... 3 year starter under Ingle, super athletic, great runner... Some college team is going to get a great player flying under the radar.

Looks like Hillsboro has a very strong sophomore class and should be a really really good team when they are seniors.

Here is why I figured CPA was the favorite this year.  Here's a summary for the Coach Martin years, notice the pattern?

2011 - PC @ CPA (CPA 14, PC 10) / PC @ CPA Playoff (CPA 21, PC 7)

2012 - CPA @ PC (CPA 35, PC 25)

2013 - Did not play but CPA lost in the state finals

2014 - Did not play but CPA won in the state finals

2015 - PC @ CPA (CPA 34, PC 26)

2016 - CPA @ PC (PC 41, CPA 0)

2017 - CPA @ PC (PC 49, CPA 46)

2018 - PC @ CPA (CPA 18, PC 14)

Ok, but PC did scrimmage CPA in the summer of 2013 and 2014, CPA didnt score but I get it!!
