Just want to add:

Germantown with wins over then AP #1 ranked Henry County Class 5A, currently # 3 class 5A...8-1 record and Houston High AP # 10 class 6A; Region 7 # 1 seed....8-1 record.

Respect ... What do you think about this?

There are those out there as well. I think everybody has experienced those. What I'm talking about is something totally different then ignorance of rules. Obscure rules or not. What i'm talking about is something more sinister.

Most refs are fair and impartial and they call it like they see it. They are human and those plays aren't going on in slow-motion. They call the games to the best of their ability. I think most are out there for their love of the game. I appreciate them tremendously.

Then ... there are others. To watch them call a game against Whitehaven will push your trust in basic human decency. I don't know if they have agendas or not. Sometimes, it seems like it.

Maybe i'm missing something. Maybe i'm being over sensative because its happening to my beloved Whitehaven Tigers. Maybe that's really what's going on. Maybe i'm imagining things.

Most games I have seen this year I’ll agree with what pigskinred said. I think the shortage of refs is just putting a lot of below average officials on the fields. Though I haven’t seen a ton of Whitehavens games, the one I did see this year was vs Lausanne, and if anyone believes for a second that Whitehaven didn’t get EVERY “close” call then they are lying to themselves. Watching that certainly made it look like they wanted Whitehaven to win for whatever reason.

I agree, we got more calls than normal that game, imo.

I agree ... we got way more calls that game then I though imaginable. I know it was Lausanne folk in the stands thinking ... "Whitehaven must have paid those refs pre-game"

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
