4A Region 5 vs Region 6 Playoffs

Other threads for rd 1 have already been created and by all means keep them going. I didn’t see threads for other games between these regions and figured I would start this for fun including overall record and district record, avg score per game, avg record of non region teams they played and record against those teams

Rd 1. Nov 2

1. Springfield   8-2 (6-0), Avg score 35-22, Avg record 6-4 and went 2-2

4. Chester Co.  2-7 (1-4), Avg score 18-29, Avg record 7-3 and went 1-3

 

 

2. J. Southside 9-1 (4-1), Avg score 28-12, Avg record 3-7 and went 5-0

3. Creek Wood 7-3 (4-2), Avg score 27-18, Avg record 3-7 and went 3-1

 

 

3. Hardin Co. 8-2 (3-2), Avg score 36-14, Avg record 3-7 and went 5-0

2. Mont Cent. 9-1 (4-1), Avg score 29-15, Avg record 3-7 and went 5-0

 

 

1. J Northside 6-4 (5-0), Avg score 26-24, Avg record 8-2 and went 1-4

4. Portland 6-4 (3-3), Avg score    23-19, Avg record 4-6 and went 3-1

If i remember correctly Hardin likes to throw the ball some and MC have struggled some against the pass. MC is a good running team.....this seems like it would be a close scoring game in the high 20s to mid 30s.

I got region 5 winning 3 games on my bracket. Northside is the only one getting a win in region 6.

I was thinking this would be possible as well, if CW does not beat SS they will give them all they want, I do believe MC and us will win and MC will give JNS all they want if not beat them, we could be home until the semis.....

I think Montgomery Central is going to win, but it’s going to be a tall order to beat Hardin County. I know it’s a 2 vs 3 match-up, but really imho it’s a 2 vs 2 game. Hardin county is the 2nd best team in region 6 right now, they are going to be a very tough out in the 1st round.

I feel like MC vs HC is probably going to be one of the most evenly matched 4A first round games in the state

I feel the same. Central got the worst draw from region 6, in my opinion. Hardin is the worst match up for them out of that region. They have the most balanced offense in that region and the size to compete with Central.

I would rather not have to play that veer offense with that big FB tbh, just so happens I believe that is why they will win, hope I am wrong.....lol
