Any idea how many all purpose yards Hensley had tonight? Kid had a great game!! Ran down a couple of MTP backs to save TD’s and just flat out ran all over MTP defense!

He played his heart out tonight. One of the best games I've seen from Mr Ensley.  I would bet it was somewhere around 250 or more from him. 2 very long runs and couple deep passes. His receivers also helped him out a couple times tonight, which was good to see.

Huntingdon will have to throw the ball to beat Cornersville. MtP obviously had the blueprint early on in the game by stuffing the run. After a couple deep throws they loosened up that defense and opened up the run game for #9, #7, and #13.

Those 3 horses are gonna be tough to stop even for a defense as tough as CVille.

Mustangs came out and hit Mt. pLEASANT in the mouth and they laid down. Mr football candidate quit on his team and ready to get on the bus at halftime! Their whole team was limping around. THE rematch everyone's been waiting for will happen at PAUL WARD STADIUM next friday night. will be standing room only!!!

Mustangs played their most physical game tonight. #13 had a tough night. He took a bunch of big hits in the first half but to his credit came out and competed in the 2nd half. Mustangs pretty much dominated the line of scrimmage so # 13 could not get much going. Stangs really laid the wood tonight.

I agree. #13 for Mt Pleasant took some shots but kept playing. I think he was a class act. He was the first player Ive ever seen from an opposing team to come over and shake fans and players hands after a game when our fans come out on the field. I saw him tell several people congratulations. Even me. I hope the young man does big things. It says a lot.

That’s even after some classless mustang fan was loudly taunting him most of the second half. He is a class act and deserves Mr Football even if he did have a hard night. Other than that jerk, I enjoyed the atmosphere. Good luck in the 3rd round and beyond

I agree he was being a jerk!! Every school has one. My apologies for his behavior. Most Mustang fans don’t act that way. Your team was a class act and I applaud their effort tonight.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
