Also riddle me this. District 12s bread and butter got beat by independence this year. Fairview beat them by 10. Fairview lost to nolensville by 1 pt last year. But yet your whole district is convinced of a sweep when ever like opponents your teams lose to fairvew gives a good loss to. So in your mind nolensville returned everyone who beat Fairview last year. Fairview isnt as good and nolensville is better. Well, shouldnt nolensville have beaten Indy since fairview did by 10? BUT they didnt. So theres that. Your facts are less and less facts by the min.

You guys missed the boat on my post.  THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING!

12AA keeps ignoring the REAL facts while booking a sweep.  They may sweep, they may get swept......

My point to the 12AA post was, "You re living make believe land, absent of logic acting superior in a district where none of the six could claim an undisputed top spot.... until tonight.

All will advance. Do we all still have to drive to wherever in 11AA is hosting.

No. It usually goes back to whoever hosted district. Not sure what they will do since Forrest is not in it, but definitely won't be at 11AA site.

Semifinals and Championship Game will be played at East Hickman no matter the outcome.

Unfortunately that's not correct. Each district selects a host region site when it is their turn to host and sends that info to the TSSAA to post. If one district does sweep the tournament is allowed to go back to the district with the 4 remaining teams are left and that district decides where to play usually it's whoever hosted the district tournament but doesn't have to. I have seen a few of the games in 12AA a this time and the 4 teams coming are pretty solid teams as I am sure 11AA is as well just looking at their schedules and results. Pretty hard to sweep these days but you never know. I am sure will be some good basketball at East Hickman I hope this rain allows me to make it for a night. Good luck to all!

Back to make believe land.........if your Region predictions are as good as your 12AA District predictions ....then welcome to Hwy 7 where 11AA could represent 3 of the 4 spots.

Not saying they will win 3 of 4 but, 11AA and 12AA are a wash this yr......12AA has Mr. Bball and 11AA has the AP ranked 7th best team in AA in the state......soooooooo.......

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
