Keyshon Gross (all stater imo) with some big time catches tonight! Tubbs 35ypc 5tds nearly 300 on 6 carries! Lil little Puckett’s 1st snap at QB I think went the distance...just another dimension of this team! Weapons galore on O! Now on D for the most part we played well! However gotta get a little faster on the corners...no one should get outside! Campbell Puckett has given up his individual game (stats at TE) to play center and is probably the best lineman in single A (I just hope he gets recognition) kids a BEAST! Wilson twins, Snyder, Gross, Pucketts and many more! Gotta clean up some but for the most part I was pleased! Great environment tonight good showing LC fans! There’s still time to jump on the bandwagon! Lastly NEXT...4A Crockett Co come get a dose!!!

This is very impressive. They will be hard to keep out of Cookeville. They could quite possibly be the most talented, and athletic team in 1A this season.

Was hoping to read about the local high school games in the area and picked up a Jackson Sun.Nothing about last nights games.Only game was Trenton-Milan from Thursday night.Plus its gone up to 2.00.Worst paper I have ever bought on a Sat.If anyone looking for high school games.Dont think your going to find it in the Jackson Sun.Cant believe they charge 2.00 for that mess.Like Ole Roy says.You think I'm joking but I'm not.

Newspapers have gotten to where they have zero coverage...and they wonder why it’s a dying industry! UC Messenger had nothing all week? Used to be the Saturday thing to do? At least we have Tinkle radio this morning...101.3 does an AWESOME job with local high school sports! Glad to have those guys and not sure Paul Tinkle and the game get enough credit for great coverage!

Thanks Shocker.I guess Jackson Sun must put them in Sundays paper..I'll try to listen this morning.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
