You guys haven't seen Oak Ridge yet, talk about a fall from the top.

Yeah Oak Ridge has gotten steadily worst each year.

You would expect to see improvement in a team after 3 years but McKamey has done nothing but make promises and talk. He is the Butch Jones of high school football.

It's nice to meet an expert in rebuilding programs like yourself. Please share some more of your wisdom with the rest of us. :popcorneater:

Kerr's last year at Clinton was a 1-9 record.

McKamey's first year 2-8

McKameys 2nd year 4-7

Well that looks like improvement to me. Hmmmm

You barely beat a bad Scott team. Campbell Co and Karns are bad too. The forfeit win against Powell doesn't count. McKamey is not going to right that ship and Kerr certainly was not going to either. Clinton needs a good head coach and I dont believe McKamey is that guy at all.

Stay the course, brother. Randy knows what he’s doing. Took us from a doormat to 3 Semi Final appearances. He’s getting the facilities in place, the players will come. Good luck to you guys, I know you’re a die hard Dragon.

I think the Dragons will be fine. It’s not like Randy had a lot to work with after how Kerr ran that program into the ground. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day.

For the fella who said OR has steadily gotten worse, I will have to disagree. If not for a Catholic team who should’ve been in the private class both years mind you, we have a really good chance of bringing home the gold ball both years. Frankly, they were just a better team than we were, especially on the line of scrimmage both years. And that’s where games are won and lost.

While I don’t like what’s going on this season so far, it is wrong to say we have gotten worse. We had really good teams the past 2 years, just not good enough to win it all. At the end of the day, there’s always only 1 team at the end of the season who can make that claim.

Thank you!  I agree. McKamey knows what he's doing. Kerr ran this program into the ground and McKamey is having to rebuild it from the ground up.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
