According to one poll, the SM poll, Gallatin is a better football team than the likes of Brentwood, BA, MBA, Ravenwood, Knoxville Central, Whitehaven, and Alcoa. Not saying its not possible but if those teams were in a playoff my money would not be on Gallatin. Just saying. Polls mean nothing.

SM poll will be much more accurate at the end of the year. At this point though, it’s a joke.

In my experience Knoxville is to close to cookville.  Refs are noticeably one sided. Just my 2 cents.. hey thanks for hitting me back.

You do realize that officials that work state championships are not from areas where participating teams are from, don't you?

HPV do you have proof of where everyone lives? Are you telling me they have refs come in from hundreds of miles away just to referee a game. I'd bet money they live in east Tennessee.  Dont sound so condescending it makes you sound like a bag if summers eve.

Just a suggestion.....you should do some research before tossing out accusations and name calling someone that has been around the game for 40 plus years and knows what he is talking about. Again....just a suggestion because it’s not a good look for you

Yes, they do.  Crews from areas where the two participating teams are from do not work games involving those teams.  They bring in crews from other parts of the state.

Edit: And in fact, they also start bringing in neutral officials during the playoffs, at least the quarterfinals if not before.

You just took what I said and reworded it. Stay in your lane.  I've seen the referees at cookville calling games one sided.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
