MHS will introduce Ted Wilson and the 1964 State Championship football team before halftime at this Friday's (Aug. 30) Bearden vs MHS football game. If you are a member of this team, please meet at the Cedar St. entrance, closest to Broadway before the end of the 1st quarter.

Did Ted Wilson coach in Kingsport afterwards?

Yes.  Ted was also a music minister at a few Kingsport area churches.  A fine man.

FYI Coach Wilson was an assistant for the 1964 Rebs....The late Don Rawls was head coach in 1964 at MHS.

That's right, I remember him leading singing @ Higher Ground Baptist.

Ted Wilson was the man who put Maryville Football on the map. A great man.
