ManOfMillions
CONGRATS TO MY HORNETS!!!! Found a way to win the game! SGC jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first half. Both teams went to the locker room and found the defense!. Most people do not enjoy a defense struggle but I do! This was a defensive showcase for both teams. The turnover towards the end game really hurt Milan because they were driving. I tip my hat to Milan. They had a chance to win this contest. They held SGC to 10 points when they were averaging 40ish on the season. Also, Milan can build on that defense! WOOW! they are salty! Milan must find something on the offensive side of the ball. SGC will play host to the Cavs next week. I look for a close game with them. Again, another classic game between our programs and SGC makes a little history tonight with the first win against the dawgs at home! Good night. /steven

Good night. /steven Absolutely agree with everything you just said. Was an amazing game. South Gibson is a good football team. They play good defense and didn’t shoot themselves in the foot on offense. They will have a good year. A couple of things last night were encouraging for Milan. 1 is the defense. They are playing great. Kept us in the game til the very end. 2 was the heart and determination they showed. Played til the last whistle. My main concern is the offense and our inability to put together drives. We seem to rely way too much on big plays. Hopefully we can find a rhythm and consistency in moving the football.right now it looks like we draw our plays up in the dirt before each game and that’s what we go with. Keep working boys. Keep improving. You can do it.

I really thought that Covington and Milan would be 1-2 in some order, and it still could shake out that way, but it will be tough for Milan. What say you? I really thought that Covington and Milan would be 1-2 in some order, and it still could shake out that way, but it will be tough for Milan. What say you? My honest opinion is that Covington will win the region again. Also I think this Milan team is very talented and has the ability to win the region but they won’t. Several problems, some of which I won’t mention on here, that will prevent that. I think that Westview and South Gibson will join Covington in the playoffs. I think that either Milan or McNairy will be left out. Milans biggest problem is inconsistency on offense. It seems that the coaches are trying to get the ball in the hands of their playmakers and let them do their thing. Which is normally a great idea but there is no scheme or consistent ability to block being shown. Offensive line play is poor and needs to improve. Defense is a bright spot. We are 1-2 and 0-1 in the region but I have seen some improvements the last two weeks since we played Peabody. If we can keep working and keep improving maybe we can stumble into a playoff spot. If we make it in we could cause some havoc. Just my two cents.... Edited September 7, 2019 by BIGPURPLEMACHINE
Racerman
Doesn’t south Gibson go to Crockett next week? Not host them

I had my wires crossed last night. We BETTER be ready to play. Crockett runs almost the exact same offense that we run and when you play a team like that they see everything that you do every single day in practice and it makes everything tougher.
