I also thought it was strange for them to go 9-3 one year and 0-10 the next. Oh well. I don't think either team in this game will have an advantage. I imagine it'll be close in the 4th quarter. The problems in Polk are much bigger than athletes cycling in and out. All athletics at PCHS are in shambles, as well as the system in general. It all stems from the disease that is its central office. The student population has dropped every year because of poor school conditions, low academics, and lack of opportunities for students. The Polk school system have been cutting teachers and programs for the last 6-8 years and will continue to. Yet the director of schools, administrators, and school board set on their hands, collect a check and act like they have no idea what’s going on. Polk athletics are dead until the entire system is cleaned out and it’s disease removed, and until that happens there will be no cycles of athletes. In the past students would come from Bradley and McMinn Counties to attend Polk for football and for academics, now the opposite is happening. ValleyTroll
Central-42 Polk-6 This game will be very emotional for a lot of people and for a lot of reasons. I think we will come out and fight but will be out coached. Talent levels aren’t much different as far as players are concerned. There is a great talent gap on the sidelines though. Go Wildcats! So enlighten everyone on your dislike for McMinn Central High School....Something caused it....Please..Share. I’m sorry to disappoint you, but there is no story. I grew up in the time where Meigs and etowah was a really big rivalry in all sports. We did not like each other. So, I call you etowah. The rivalry isn’t as big now in any sports (except maybe boys and girls b-ball, it’s competitive) because Meigs thrashes etowah in just about everything, so I can see why it’s not as big to you. I hate to bust your bubble but Central/Meigs will always be big to me and I would cheer for Iraq before I cheered for Meigs.

It's people like him who give Central fans the bad name they have. What's funny is that one of the best players Central ever had transferred FROM Meigs County. Real classy post, and proof that you're part of the negative image people have of Central. Someone told me who they think you are by your username, so I'm not surprised if it's you. TigerNation
Back to the topic at hand, Central should cruise in this one. The only intriguing part of this game will be how Davis is received from the home team and crowd. I think the Polk kids will play hard, just won’t have enough to make a game of this. The good news for Polk is this should be their best game in terms of gate money in a long time.

Loudon also has recovered from those down years by going 8-4 in 2017 and 3-0 so far this year. Polk has only had 1 winning season (last year) since 2013. I'm not trying to argue who has the worst down years, was just seeing if anybody had any insight as to why Polk hasn't rebounded like teams usually do. Talent isn't there. It's bad really bad then Davis left they won't be good for awhile. Wish Brewer well but he's going to find out there isn't any talent there. And the talent in Little league don't play or have terrible attitudes.
10Redskin
Not really sure why people think this will be a blow out. Neither team has really done anything to this point and both teams struggle to score, judging by the first 3 games. At the Jamboree it looked like Central had the bigger kids but that doesn't mean anything. I see this game coming down to the wire. Maybe a on or two score game. I guess we will find out tomorrow night.

Got in the red zone 5 times against Tellico and came away with only 14 points. You're right. They have got to quit beating Central and trying to beat the opponent.
