I think if an odds maker put a line on the game it would be no more than 2.5 or 3 either way.

I think this game comes down to turnovers. Whoever has the fewest wins the contest.

You hit the nail on the head. South Gibson had no turnovers and McNairy had 2 fumbles. Also, SG has a Kickoff return for a TD. In both McNairy losses, they have given up a Kickoff Return which has made the difference in each final score.

South Gibson really took away the McNairy running game and accounted for Scott in the passing game. On the first drive in 2nd half, McNairy seemed to finally find some some success running but never went back to it. But, they also started moving the ball well through the air in the 2nd half and stuck with it.

TIP MY HAT TO THE BOBCATS! Like normal, SGC plays home field advantage @ McNairy. For some reason the visiting team in this rivalry always wins..... IDK.

Bobcats have a really good football and should hold their head high. They played hard to very last second of the contest and had a shot to tie it up as time expired.

LOOK OUT! SGC has continued its winning ways. 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in region play. Really proud of our kids, coaches, and fans. We have done what we had to do to stay in the winning column this year. This is a senior heavy team that has played some good competition and found a way to win.

We WILL have our work cut out for us this coming Friday as the Tomcats from Haywood come to town. Haywood is undefeated in the state of TN and there only L is to a state title contender in MS., Olive branch.

I have not watch any film and know very little about the Tomcats. I know they have great athletes, and coaches. We will have to play a perfect game to compete with the boys from Haywood.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
