Macon County will be looking for revenge in this game after "Rain-gate" from last year where they felt that TC got lucky that it rained or else the game would have been much different than 28-0.

Also Macon County fans are thinking that they have the ship back on course after winning big the last 3 weeks after starting 0-2 against Smith County and Westmoreland.

They beat Mt. Juliet Christian 55-7. Mt. Juliet Christian is likely gonna finish 2-8 on the year. I also heard that MJC had a bunch of injuries going into that game.

They beat Glencliff 70-8. Its Glencliff I'm not even gonna.... yeah I will Glencliff has been outscored 322-28 in the first 5 games. So do the math there and that score is pretty much par for the year for Glencliff who most likely will finish 0-10.

They beat Cumberland County 48-12. Cumberland County is 0-5 and looking possibly to finish 0-10 as well. Cumberland County lost to Clay County 29-0 and also lost to White County.

Macon County may be better than the start of the season but I don't think they are too much better (if at all) than Westmoreland. And we seen how that went down on Friday night.

Trousdale County has won 13 of the last 16 meetings between these teams and 11 of those wins have been by +21 points.

Trousdale County 35

Macon County 7

Since the game is at Macon and they have always been a thorn in TC side for the last few years. They always come out with a good game plan they have very good coaching staff they will try to play keep-away with the ball and have long drives to shorten the game. But TC defense is starting to click on the secondary Macon will have a hard time getting the first downs they need to sustain the long drives. I say TC 28-0 bec of Macon shorting the game and limiting TC offensive possessions.

By The Numbers: Week 6 Trousdale Co. travels to Macon Co. for a Border Battle

Match-Up History:   Looking through the years at schedules of past, you won’t find too many out there where these 2 schools haven't played. The 2 communities share a lot of similarities in that the main industry for which they were both established was Tobacco and farming in general, and their love for Football! I honestly think you would find it very hard to find more than 10 people within Macon Co. who doesn't bleed Orange and White on Saturday's. But anyways back to this games history. Macon County based on my records is Trousdale County's most familiar foe. I do expect that the real number is much higher but I show the 2 squads having squared off at least 47 times on the gridiron. In those contest, the Yellow Jackets holds a slight advantage with a 38-9 record. Since 2001 the 2 have seen each other 16 times. Trousdale Co. bested Macon Co. in 12 of those games. Macon Co. won games in 2003, 2006, 2014, & 2017. Games were not scheduled in 2015 & 2016 but the Tigers would have had a good chance of having a 4 game streak if they had been played.  Last year on the Creekbank, if I’m not mistaken in a downpour, the Jackets got back to their winning ways in the series and tossed a 28-0 shutout.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
