As a former tiger i played from 2013-2016 (graduated 2017). TC was alway one of the hardest and toughest teams we play and scrimmaged. If the tigers come out with a level head and play smart it will be a great ball game. If the Jackets come out and go up 14-0 early it will be over. Ive ben to some of the tigers practices and helped with the kickers and we have some great athletes just don't know if we can matchup with what TC has. All in all i believe it will be a great game.

I agree you guys have some really good athletes but yall will be lucky to score 7.... TC is a really good team and their defense is really really good.... Macons QB isn't a fan of contact sand TC d-line will be in the back field A LOT.... Only way Macon scores 28 is if the TC jv comes in the 2 qrtr.. Not being a d bag either just saying TC is a special team, I'd say they will be back in Cookville this year!

Don't are Macon scoring 4 TD’s on TC defense only way to beat TC is with the pass down the field. Macon offense is the kind that TC LB’s eat up. If Macon gets one touchdown against TC starters that's a moral victory for the tigers. Only Watertown has scores a TD on Trousdale starting. defense.

Bold prediction there 52. Defense is stout but their is a lot of improvement to be had. Not sure that they have face a high-powered offense either. Meigs Co. and Peabody both will give TC fits if they are fortunate to meet those teams. Offense needs to establish a passing threat, which starts with the line having the ability to protect Hicks. Then Hicks can gain some confidence in his arm. I have no doubt the kid can throw the ball but his opportunities in doing so have been few and far between. Before this year, him at QB was more of a wild cat formation.  The WRs are there and they have possibly one of the best TEs in 2A in #7 "Juice" Claiborne. But up to this point, there hasn't been much of a need to abort the run.

The Road to Cookeville will be a challenge and I'm not willing to say they will be there. Do they have the Talent, yes but game play has got to get better. They for sure have made huge gains from game 1 to now but continuous improvement is needed. Their best has got to get better!

That's one thing I've learned about High School Football. If your not striving to be better every week and improving on anything you feel your not up to par in,  It will kill you when it matters in the playoffs. Maybe even before you get to the better teams.

Juice will put the ball on the ground though.

    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
    • Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war.We had some quality wins this summer. Beat Huntingdon, Henry County, Bowling Green, Liitle Rock Central as well as a couple other quality Kentucky Teams. Westview's talent pool may not be what it has been without transfers the next few.
    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
