mike was coaching girls basketball before he came back to coach football lucas andrews was head coach and mike was told by ward and school board member he was needed to help he planned to retire at end of year and just help with girls basketball was approached by school board about football job asked yo coach until his daughter graduated he told them he was not the long term answer told them to try and find younger solution mike jr was not interested no other person applied for the job so mike decide to take it Leer benfield said hired wrong lunsford mike agreed but young luns had zero interest in job but you are mad because he came back right not because he left. should have expressed that opinion then not now he"s gone not coming back get over him and move on thuis is not healthy for us forget about him and move on my goodness this is rediculous

Not mad he came back or left. Just wish he retired at Hampton. Like I have said before. When my wife and I were told by somebody close to Lunsford he was coming back we knew it was for 3 years. I still think he is a really good football coach and think Junior will be to. Maybe a state champion coach one day.

Think it was gonna be 4 years before all the Basketball mess, glad it happened the way it did, didn't like big and little on different sides of the ball.

Zack would take it in a skinny minute, I'm sure he knows he would be stepping into a TOUGH situation. Next year could be the worst team in Cloudlands history.  Just hope fans and parents  would be realistic and give him a chance.

Don’t blame you. It would be hard for a dad. Hopefully dad will get to watch son with it all one day.

I was about to say the same about Zac....But to be HC, does he have a teaching degree?

And he will and LM will do fine. Knows football inside and out. Just been really young the last couple of years. Did just fine the 1st year when he had a more experienced team. Then again ,Mike is Great help but he's not the one calling the shots. This is LM,s Team.

Not sure and don't even know if they would give him the job. I just love this ole Boy and want him to get it but there is another side that hopes it never happens. Think this could age him before his time.
