And he will and LM will do fine. Knows football inside and out. Just been really young the last couple of years. Did just fine the 1st year when he had a more experienced team. Then again ,Mike is Great help but he's not the one calling the shots. This is LM,s Team.

Very true...But I think Mike adds a certain comfort level to LM's prep and game planning and that makes sense to me...Who wouldn't want that experience around?

Not sure and don't even know if they would give him the job. I just love this ole Boy and want him to get it but there is another side that hopes it never happens. Think this could age him before his time.

He is doing his student teaching where my wife works at University High.

Good news...IF I were involved, I would push the admin to have things set up for him....Keep an interim coach with Zac actually in charge of the program until he can be put in charge after the "search period"

But then again, I'd rather not have to play against the kid....He is SHARP

Highly Doubt Scott is doing the coaching now. I'm sure he is just letting the Coaches that were there do their thing. I'm sure he is trying to help some  but he can't come in and change everything in the middle of the season.

I think he's making it a point not to be where some of these fellers can holler at him. I'm honestly thinking about staying home. It was ugly down at Hampton. I left at halftime. People were losing their sht on the sidelines

Na  not avoiding anyone, be the same place as every other game, been upstairs every game.

Me and 91 thought about putting a crew together to clean up Roan Mtn.  I'm sure we would be able to insulate Zach.  Ensure that he has complete control of the football program.  We should have done it the middle of the last decade.  No more drugs, politics in Roan Mtn

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
