I can't wait to see the stats, I do believe Upperman had 3 penalties called on them all night, and Watertown about 15. Which was BS, Bees had 2 men in motion at the same time, no flag, bees WR pushed our DB down trying to catch a pass, no flag. Ref on H20 side gave the ball to Upperman on a fumble when the player who recovered it was clearly out of bounds. Bees punted the ball to use, ref said they downed it at the 1 when the guy that touched it was in the endzone.

Sure we had 2 fumbles, but it's hard to beat the 11 on the field.... I'm sorry the 16 on the field including the refs when it's like that. Bee's QB is quick I'll give him that.

Also was just told that one of the refs was seen at McDonald's eating with Upperman fans. That's cool....

Oh knock it off. Watertown had 7 penalties, Upperman had 3, that’s not a big gap. You conveniently left out the fact that H20 blatantly knocked the ball out of the center’s hands on the kneel down turned fumble, which is a penalty. The penalty numbers wouldn’t have been different at all if H20 could’ve blocked Upperman’s defensive front without holding. Both teams are great, but Upperman was the better team all night.

Watch the video... It was awful... He even looked at the coach before he did it!

Every tea has a player that suppose to get a cramp when your defense needs a break. I haven't even seen the play and I know you're totally right about this.

I went back and watched it, he clearly wasn’t hurt, but he also didn’t look over to the sideline first. I think he did it on his own (you’re right, every team does it). Later in the drive a Bee got injured and the HC had him come off the field immediately.

The kid looked to the sideline, turned around and ran about 5 feet, lifted his hands and then flopped to the ground holding his leg.

I’ve seen and heard of fake injuries, but man that looked awful. If this is normal I would have your coach find a new flop man, because it didn’t look very convincing... I was almost embarrassed for the kid.

Depends on whose perspective on who was the better team I guess..  I think they were as evenly matched Tonight as they could’ve been.

Neither team in my opinion were able to sustain long drives and either scored on missed tackles or big plays.

I will say it again, both teams played a great hard fought game.. A game IMO was a fun one to watch.

I did however think it was funny that your guys on the Upper Cumberland Coaches show thought you were going to blow us out and it didn’t happen. You could almost hear his disbelief on air when he realized about half way through the first quarter that this H2O team is legit!

Come on you are starting to sound like westy and dc fans. The better team  won that night. They are two evenly matched teams upperman matched h20 speed and was just as physical but to say the refs is the difference is crazy.  The team that won the line is scrimmage came out on top. I thought going for the win was a great decision by coach and he got the ball in our best players hands . Came up a little short but we are proud of our purple tigers. I agree with h20man #14 is growing up every week he is going to be the key to our playoff run .Congrats to the bees.

It was the penalties that were not called that hurt H20, such as Offensive PI that wasn't called, not one holding all on the Bees all night, except for the a kickoff. #54 and #55 were getting dragged to the ground every play and not one flag. Watertown blocked just fine up front. They called the penalty on the slap of the ball, did they not? I have no clue how the Bees fumbled a kneel down, 1st time I've ever seen that in my life.

I don't know that the better team won... I think it's more like you all survived. There were a couple of plays that Watertown ran late in the 4th quarter that I am still scratching my head over. Like a delayed hand off on 3rd and 18 late in the 4th.

But either way it's over, we move on. I am proud to be a Purple Tiger this morning, those young men played with heart and never quit. No one even had them in the game. It can't do anything but help us to make a deep run into the playoffs. I'd say Upperman is the best team we faced all year. Good luck on a deep run into the playoffs.

Clearly you were not in the stands with the rest of us, cause everyone up there knew what the difference was. I am 50/50 on going for the win, I don't think it was the best play call. I have no problem getting it into Q's hands but I think a different play might have been in order. I am fixing to watch the game film, I like being able to go over ever aspect of the game.

Excally don't ruin a great game by fussing about the  refs! That was a great  high school football game.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
