Good grief, the testosterone is smothering me. I enjoy a good bantering, discussion & meeting others thru Coach T but lately it is just useless nonsense. No disrespect to Alcoa but, I would rather eat shards of glass than hear about their enrollment one more time  Can you guys please find something else to talk about? Does anyone have anything useful to say about the game this thread was created for? Momma’s getting testy.

Same. I don’t care if Alcoa recruits their entire team. We are playing Sequatchie ‘this Friday night and that’s the only team that matters this week. Who are the playmakers? What are their strengths and weaknesses?  It’s late in the season, any significant losses due to injuries?  The Bees have had some season-ending injuries that have had a big impact but have had younger kids step up and fill in the gaps.

Bees return a good player this week that has been out all season on the line. That should help with the injuries. Dunlaps hopes are very slim. But they always play tough in the valley. Upperman wont see a quality opponent this week or next.

Sounds to me like some of the Alcoa folk are a little bit too concerned with what UHS is doing. Could it be the Bees gave the Tornadoes more of a fight than any other 3A team last year and have a better defense this year? Someone sounds a little bit concerned, if you ask me.

Not even close!! Covington was the Real Deal, much like I expect Pearl Cohn will be this year. Honey Bees where never a threat last year.

You trolls cant stay on the Alcoa threads? I never thought you to be the trolling type hammer....But i guess it runs deep in Alcoa...Barely beat upperman last year. The coaches werent prepared for Alcoa in 2013... I would say the U is adapting well...And gave them a heckuva ball game last year with home GROWN talent...Something you bums have to bus to your low class operation. Obviously your scared you show up like a bunch of #### roaches on every upperman thread....I rarely read the Alcoa ones...must fascinate you what a small town team does without recruiting.

LOL. Don't think most would consider me a troll. The only think "trollish" I posted was a funny word play on the word BUMS, which you called us.  I like Upperman, I like the upper Cumberland and as I stated before, I spent some of the best years of my life in Putnam County and still have lots of friends there.

But come on man, you can't get defensive or mad when you insult a group of people with name calling and they have a little fun turning the name you called them into something humorous.

I read some of the Upperman threads because of connections I have with the area and some of the folks.  Not because I'm scared of anything, merely interested.

Enjoyed the semifinal trip to Sequatchie a few years ago. The crowd was really into the game and the atmosphere was great!  Seq being the home team helps them a little bit but The Bees getting their coach was a huge step for Upperman.

I look for Upperman to build a solid program over the next few years and probably be the annual favorite in their region as long as the HC is there.

Not seen enough of Sequatchie the last two years to make a sound prediction, but my thoughts are Bees have advantage in Coaching and QB play while Sequatchie has home field and possible intangible of Bees looking past them.

    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
