Huntingdon beat Milan and fumbled several times. Milan beat west view by 32 points. Lake county beat westview by 22 and gave up 50

I’ll speak about our westview game, we had no need to defend them , our younger players got a lot of experience that night on defense

You should know now to never compare scores. The Westview game LC led 72 to 36 a mercy rule. Coach Puckett put the young guys in. Westview scored 2 more TDs against them. Crockett County game LC just come off a big rival win over UC and was flat. I don't get your take on the Ripley game. LC had 500 yards of offense and Ripley 87 yards. Ripley crossed the 50 one time via penalty. They never threatened to score. LC had two rare turnovers that stopped the 2 opening drives deep in Ripley territory. LC should have scored 50 last night but had a few turnovers like I said. Crockett County is a decent team whom finished second in their 4a region. LC has played and beaten UC the 2nd place team in region 7. Westview 3A school since we a comparing scores beat McNairy County who beat Milan. Ripley a 4a school made the playoffs as did Westview. The Milan win for Huntingdon was a great win but football is about matchups and LC more than matches up with Huntingdon. Heck, I would have loved for LC and Peabody to have played. Would have been a heck of a game. I will say this LC is battled tested. The stangs had one game to get up for. Will that make a difference we will see. The two fanbases are proud of their teams. I really don't think there is no real dislike for one another. It's all in good fun. One other tibit Westview blew out Waverly about as bad as Huntingdon did. Not that it matters.

That all makes since I mean all you can do compare. I just think if Huntingdon can get a pass game going against you guys and defend your passing game. They may win. It will be a great game probably be fun to watch.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
