Nothing against the former coach but a 9-1 regular season record is an improvement of the past few years.  IMHO you have hired the right man for the job and he has proven that with results and not talking about just record.  I do not know the answer, but were the schedules the same or close to the same this year as in the past few years?  Pretty sure region schedule is very close to same.  Check opponents W-L record this year vs. past and that is a way to see success.  Not sure but would be willing to say, Gallatin played more playoff teams this year than non-playoff teams.  Should see them in Cookeville soon.  JMO

In the future the schedules will only get tougher. Pretty much automatic Gallatin will be 6A and I wouldn't be surprised if Oakland or Blackman ( Possibly both) are on their schedule in 2021

They beat all 5 6A teams on schedule, two of which are playing in the 2nd round this week. Not all is bad, they just have to keep improving and make the next step. I think people will soon see how tough of a draw Summit was in the first round in the coming weeks.

Summit is a good football team.

Gallatin was the victim of a weak schedule.  What was their best win? Over 4 loss Mount Juliet?  Everybody else they beat had at least 5 losses, very mediocre competition.

Nobody was saying that before the season, impossible to predict how a season will play out. They scrimmaged the best teams they could find, their schedule will mirror that in the next cycle

I think it was more of playing a really good team in the 1st round instead of a 6 win or less team like most played.  Summit is a quality team and so was Gallatin.  Nobody could predict that the entire region in 6 A would have less than stellar records which by the way Gallatin had something to do with.

Shoutout to Gallatin!  I see that they have started a Twitter account publicizing their players.  This is an awesome example and one that more programs should follow in my opinion.  Hats off to the G-men!

    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
