I know exactly what happened tho. Grider didn't want to play on Thursday so we couldn't come scout. I'll give it to him. He's one smart sucker because I would've been there haha

Y'all will be in for a big surprise when we don't run the ball at all. I saw Roy sneak into Grider's office and leave a copy of Dillard's best Hail Marys. I believe that Flutie man was on the cover.

Tell ole Roy to go retrieve that copy and save those Hail Marys for next week. Especially if it calls for rain.

Went back and watched the CF games a couple times and our OL/DL was playing NASTY! Need that to continue.

I can think of a few pancakes they had !! Definitely liked seeing that meanness and hopefully it only intensifies!! I’ll have to watch it again when I get some down time this week !!

Lol like either team at this point doesn’t already know about the other! Besides, Coach Grider was all up for playing a Thursday game and it was even announced it would be moved to Thursday night!
That head coach at Gordy got to thinking after his decision that he may have a better shot if they played in the rain on a wet field! Little does he know but Pirates are quite accustomed to the water and will not be hampered by a little rain or wet field! (Ok apparently Gordy had transportation trouble for Thursday but that sounds dull and boring, so I put my twist on it!)

This is where our line of focus HAS to be!!!Whether Carnes can pass for 200 or 300 yards this week or maybe next,Whether 23 can be covered 1 on 1 or over and under those things WILL NOT matter 1 bit if our line play is not GREAT.I was very happy with their energy and focus last week. The weather is going to be bad by the looks of it this week,we will live or die by the big boys up front. They played GREAT against Oneida,OS and CF this past week BUT championship teams HAVE to be able to run the ball, the Meigs game has already shown us that our run game was not even in the area code and it cost us that one. Each week it will get understandably tougher. The rain will level the field more this week because of our bread and butter being the pass.We have to establish a run game in each contest from here out to advance.OS folks this game THIS week has just become more interesting for you all and the rest of the state!Alot of talk and focus on the Semis and we need for our boys to be focused on this game to win and advance!!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
