Yep,that was the way it's supposed to be done when a game is over and that goes for both sides.I always told my kids to act like they had been there before and when you get done competing in a game or anything, shake hands and act like a man nomatter if you win or lose.
blazer1set
Was this just a fluke? Will Greeneville be back on top next year? Or is the loss of 2 Ballard's now becoming more clear?
Greendevil87
It was not a fluke Elizabethton has a Great Football Team. And they are very young . Barring unforeseen circumstances. I would say the next best chance for Greeneville to be the better football team would be when this year's 8th graders or Juniors or senior's. Elizabethton has always had good athletes and before greeneville became GREENEVILLE in football, Elizabethton was the better program in the past. The loss of the younger Ballard and his class just means the greatest Senior class moved on but the loss of coach Ballard means someone will have to take a couple of giant steps forward and figure some things out for years to come. Well, if nothing else you can always count on the Boone game as a win next year. For the life of me I just do not know why our coaches keep scheduling Greeneville, Elizabethton, DB, etc. But Greeneville has something special, even without Ballard 1, so I expect them to get it turned around this off season and be back in the thick or things next season. No doubt, everyone will circle the Greeneville game on their calendar for years to come. The sky hasn't fallen, there's just another Star shining a little brighter in our east TN nights right now. I believe Boone scheduling those teams is what helped them to make a great run through the playoffs this years. If Boone would have gotten past South Doyle then who knows how far they could’ve gone? Playing a tough schedule can help a team to be battle tested come playoff time. Greeneville will still be in the mix! The Cyclones have something great this year and probably the next couple and there’s nothing wrong with that. Cycles will come and go. Enjoy the good times with gratitude! Enjoy the good times with gratitude! I know most of you guys believe in scheduling very tough opponents (i.e. , games you know you are going to lose) in order to become a better team. But the downside of doing that is getting you brains beat in year after year and becoming discouraged as a team. Boone is 2-31 against Elizabethton, every year we play hard but we KNOW we are going to lose. And then getting thrashed by DB, Greeneville, etc., it discourages our guys. As for the playoffs this year, we won ONE game, for which we are thankful, but calling that a "run through the playoffs" is quite a stretch. DevilMan03
I see Fritz is embarrassing himself again. How can you say Greeneville isn’t part of Region 1 and never give them coverage or any credit whatsoever? This guy is a joke
