Must be that 10 month "educational" lease program but hey at least they got that SRO making sure those lights are on.

I had convinced myself I wasn’t going to comment on any more transfer talk but I’ll give it one last go round...

Speaking from my experience and my experience alone, when we transferred the oldest boy to SP from NJ before his junior year had started, we had to provide a valid street address, had an official come to make sure we were actually living at said address and provided all that information to his new school and the TSSAA!
After all that it was still brought up and insinuated that he was recruited or that we were using a false address! Like Mr Childress said on the News Channel out of Nashville,”He wasn’t 99% sure he was eligible but he was 100% certain he was eligible to play!”!
Now the reason I said all that is because we could argue to the end of time about transfers but as long as the TSSAA says it’s legal and players are eligible, it is what it is regardless if the situation seems fishy or timely!
My opinion on the matter isn’t going to matter and anyone else with an opinion isn’t going to matter! Does it happen illegally...I’m almost certain it does but I also think it will be caught and I’m sure everyone will agree, if a school is caught falsifying information then that team should be punished to the fullest extent!
A great game is coming up this Friday night in GREENBACK and I for one am going to be there! Two teams of young men will battle it out for 4 qtrs and then we will have a winner! I’m putting my hopes on SP to win and move on! Regardless, in my opinion this game will determine your state winner!
Hoping for a hard fought game, sportsmanship from both sides and no injuries!

See no room for transfer talk from South Pitt. They have transfers all the way from New Jersey. Dem Dang yankees

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
